Children's Environmental Health
CHEC is a national non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public, specifically parents and caregivers, about environmental toxins that affect children's health. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate children's exposure to man-made toxic substances by ensuring everyone's right-to-know what is in their air, food, water and commercial products. We are working to achieve this goal through increased scientific research, government policies which are more protective of children, and educating and mobilizing individuals like you around the country. CHEC has educational information and a safer products store.
The Children's Environmental Health Institute (CEHI) has been established to identify, validate, and develop solutions to address adverse health effects to children occurring as a consequence of exposure to hazardous environmental substances. Based in Austin. Doris Rapp, MD, author, educator Environmental medicine pioneer and pediatric allergy specialist. Noted for her work with children who have adverse physical and behavioral reactions caused by toxins and allergies. Great site for information and cutting-edge books. Information applies to adults too.
